Didn't all 4WD Chevys of this era have the front hubs protruding from the hubcap? This one seems to have the 2WD hubcap up front. |

Those are Chevrolet hubcaps. GMC's did not have the middle filled in black. |

ah okay I had these older hubcaps mixed up with the newer ones (where the GMC ones were filled in black, like the Savana and Sierra) |

The one in the capture is not four-wheel drive. 10 and 20 Series had automatic hub lock engagement, "4x4" is written on the hub case. The axle hubs are auto locked to the drive axle when the vehicle is shifted into four-wheel drive. To unlock the hubs the vehicle needed to be shifted back into two-wheel drive, and reversed up to 10 feet. |
