Rolls-Royce Corniche. |

If it is a Rolls-Royce, then it would be a Silver Cloud (Corniche was a coupé or convertible of the newer Silver Shadow). But maybe it is a Bentley S1 or S2 or S3... |

At least it's RHD. |

Any more of this visible? The Rolls-Royce mascot is usually a dead giveaway. |

Or even a look at a hubcap. Note also it has a sunshine roof - not common on one if these I think. |

The sun roof could have been an after-market fitment. It was not standard on this model and looks like a Webasto type, rather than the steel sliding sort fitted to the Mk VI and R-type saloons. All we can reasonably infer from this photograph is that it is a 1955 to 1965 Standard saloon produced at Crewe, although the bonnet slope and the front wing suggest it might be a late model car. (Standard saloon refers to the fact that it is not coachbuilt, but the Crewe bodywork. It is nothing to do with the specification of the car.) -- Last edit: 2011-06-20 11:57:37 |

1962 - 1965 Rolls Royce Silver Cloud III Standard Saloon, quite unlike the cars at the Royal Mews. |
