absence of bumper guards means at least a 1965+ Lancia Fulvia 2C: Previous ones had odd ones...!!! |

Some sources (all right, Wikipedia) say that the 2C was launched in 1964. Does that mean that early 2C versions had bumper guards ? |

Glass's says 2C launched Oct 64 in I and had 2C motif on rear; the "1C" continued alongside until Sept 66. My Lancia book says only the very first 1C had small over-riders. So I guess later 1C had plain bumpers and it's possible for a 1966 car to also be a 1C. This one does not look as if it's got the long 2C script badge - compare with /vehicle_612798-Lancia-Fulvia-2C-818-1965.html and ... but I'm not sure what badging a 1965-66 1C would or would not have. |

Neither of my 2 Fulvia 2C Berlinas (FUY 724C and SMX 41F) had over-riders. I have the handbook from SMX somewhere, I’ll try to find it. They were delightful cars to drive, and I would love one of the Series 2 cars with the 1300 engine and 5 speed box. Despite SMX nearly killing me. -- Last edit: 2018-08-31 08:41:20 |

Since I know very well how much it would cost to put that car into acceptable condition, and since it is left hand drive, I feel a dose of non-conformism coming on. Also, were I to list all the different makes and models of car I have owned or had use of during the past 54 years you would see the depths to which certain types of Catholicism can sink. -- Last edit: 2019-05-15 22:21:18 |
