A 450 was listed, I guess that it is supposed to be the one of the picture added, but I do not know if it is indeed a 450 or not. |

No, it's a W 123. If it's not one of the last made W 123, it can be a 280 E, due to the square front lamps. |

No, this one is a [W123] and a 450 version was not available. Although with these headlights, it doesn't have the bumper of a 280. It could be a 1982+ car, but the headrests seem to be of an older type. So, I would say it's a 1976+ [W123]. |

@rpcm: a) - double posting b) if it's a 1976+ W 123, then it's a 250. The early W 123 with the smaller eingines (200, 220 and 230) had the round frontlamps. |

a):beer: b)Sorry, but I have to disagree: the only saloon versions of the 1976 [W123] that had the pictured headlights were the 280 and the 280E. The 250 also had round headlights. -- Last edit: 2007-10-28 00:37:56 |

O.k., then it's 1982+ W 123 But think about that, too: from 1976 to 1982 you could order these "280-lamps" as an option for the other models. |

About being a 1982+, as I previously said, the headrests don't match. About the headlights, that's why it's better to keep the identificatiton just like this. The bumpers would help to identify a 280 or a 280E, but with these bumpers it can be any other version. |

The Pegaso truck and the Renault 8 with quad headlights and straight bumper are giveaways, I'd say. |

The bumpers are not of a 280, so any W123 but not a 280 1976+ witht he option of the headlights as seen. |

The headlights means not much, they are easy to change. This rectangular version was even an extra option, available directly at Mercedes Benz, the wannabe-280-look headlights. P.S. No 280 due the poverty-spec plastic trims under the taillights. P.S.II: two different cars. That on the main pic has metallic paint, that on the thumbnail not. The expers will tell us the names of the two colours. |
