well, the KW logo looks gold or chrome on this truck if it's gold then it's a 1973 cause that was KW's 50th year anniveresery it's chrome it's a 1974 cause for some reason KW put chrome logo's on there truck I don't know there reason behind that & if it's just a regluar logo I guess 1972 would work, but the logo very much looks golnd to me which would make this truck a 1973, but I can't tell cause the picture is way to blurry

DayDay, the last scene with the truck is when the young driver is in court or police station and you see the truck passing. They tell him the truck is confiscated. The end scene of a truck (Freightliner cabover) hitting a helicopter is a scene from the film Hijack.
I'm currently building a 1/25 scale model of the Breaker Breaker K100 and after seeing and seeing the dvd I doubt it is a 1972 model. I think it is older because it has the exhaust fixed to the back of the cab as you see in this scene:

As I live in Europe and Kenworths are a very rare breed over here, maybe someone of you can tell me more about the year.

Both BM and Aerodyne are right,

the truck isn't a 1972 Model Truck, it's an 1973 Model truck,Why? cause for the grill logo it's Gold & Black which meant it 50th Anniversary in business and the only years they did that Gold Logo was in 1973, from what I hear from all the movie experts and some people that have contact with the people that bought the truck for the movie is it was powered by a 318HP Detroit with a 9 Speed Transmission

I didn't manage to make the "arrowed" striping on the front.
