1962 Imperial. Not enough visible to distinguish model.

I know, it's hard to explain, especially in a foreign language, but it simply happens from time to time, especially with cars that have a corporate design (like the late 50s/early 60s Chrysler-products designed by E. Engel). Besides, it's even easier to happen if you know the cars in question only from books/magazines and don't have a "first-hand" experience- and that's naturally the case for an European like me with -for example- most US-cars up to the 1970s. From then on, it's a bit easier- at least not to mix up the different brands- as I grew up in the final years of the Cold War in an area with a couple of US-Army barracks. I might be wrong, but I think first-hand experience is indeed quite a decisive factor.

Oh, quite true as I did in fact grow up with these cars.
I was just funnin' you, cl82.

For me, it's that way with non-USA cars, on which I have very little literature.
For instance, I find Mercedes Benz sedans from the 80's on back beautiful, but they tend to all "look alike" to me as far as close years are concerned.
