The is actually a Velox. The lettering 'Velox' can just be seen in the first thumbnail (5 letters and not 6)on the front wing. The amount of chrome on the sides and the rear was the same for Velox and Wyvern around this time. Only on the front bonnet/hood was there a difference in a wider central 'Vauxhall' badge for the Velox. The Velox also had bright trim around the windscreen and back window as in these pictures. This was missing on the Wyvern as shown in the following picture. Wyvern on the left Velox on the right. You are right. It is a Vauxhall Velox manufactured in 1952 ÷ 1954 Model EIP (6 cyl. 138 cu.in - 2262 cc). |
