Ford Pinto? However, RHD Pinto seems unlikely... -- Last edit: 2011-04-26 21:01:48 |

I knew it wasn't a Pacer. I was just testing all of you. |

Agree this is not Pacer, but RHD Pacers did exist http://www.flickr.com/photos/45904802@N08/4422429157/as a UK conversion approved by the UK Concessionaires. Minimal sales, but they did try it. |

Did they make RHD Gremlins? |

Probably not - I don't think they were offered in UK (but I could be wrong and can't find a source to confirm). American Motors UK did push models such as Matador, Javelin and Pacer for a brief period around 1970 with the special UK-based RHD conversion, but did not sell well so they stopped all models by about 1975. Pacer would have been quirky enough for a try at selling in UK, but difficult to see why a Gremlin would be worth a sales push in Britain. I'm dredging this all from memory, so if anyone can find solid information, please contribute. -- Last edit: 2011-04-27 02:07:43 |
