It's just a speculation, but I'd say it's rather a "big Ponton" aka 220 because I'm under the impression it's got the longer hood. |

Where's DynaMike when you need him? Oh, I forgot, he's busy buying rusty Citroens. |
Gomselmash11 ◊ 2011-04-29 02:37 |
Hmm probably he not likes the joke |

Mike's getting ready for the royal wedding, don't bother him with pleonasms like "rusty Citroëns". |

Why should he? He has bought the semi-mint-condition DS in full command of his mental faculties. Hopefully... |

There's a royal wedding? Why did nobody tell me? |
◊ 2011-04-29 12:28 |
Because it's not important anyways. |

@Sandie: your posting is really the only one in the last 12 hours, written by an UK-member... |

Due to the wedding everyone has a holiday so they were all still in bed probably. A couple have dared to get out of their pits since. |

Maybe usually they post from their work place |

Hello - sorry I'm late today, but had to drive a classic Rolls for a wedding couple this morning and then fly a jet in formation past a balcony. Have I missed anything? |

And I had to wait for Virgin Media to come and fix my cable connection (undone by the landlord on Tuesday) Still, at least I missed the wedding |

That will be Prince Charles' car. Despite my deep joy for the happy couple I'm watching The Sentinel on one of the satellite channels. |

What does all of this have to do with this mercedes? There is a forum, if you want to continue on the topic, maybe you could open a thread there about the wedding... -- Last edit: 2011-04-29 18:42:54 |

I'm surprised that some people think I'm an expert in 'Ponton'... And I do like jokes about rusty Citroëns (especially since I got mine for free, as a present...). And I did have a like on this Ponton... And I thought the same as Cl82: 1954+ 220 [W180] with an optional sunroof (and without the standard overriders). But I just wasn't really sure... |

Driving with the top down and the windows up should be forbidden by law... |

@DynaMike: You know you're pretty good in identifying them. And you know my previous comment wasn't meant that serious. Congratulations to your new DS! She's really a pretty one! |

Weren't some longer Easter-holidays in Britain? Today I've seen very much British cars (more than 20, more than cars with Dutch or Polish plates) on the A2 between Hannover and Oberhausen. All on the way westwards, loaded with many luggage and some with children, too. |

Monday is a holiday as well for May Day and the Easter school holidays (here at least) finished last week. Lots of people have taken their saved up leave around all these bank holidays so they can have much longer holidays without losing that much leave. |
