I have a feeling that this might be a car prepared by TWR (Tom Walkinshaw Racing) as a proposal to Jaguar for a TWR modified high performance XK8. TWR built the modern Jaguar Le Mans race cars so a TWR-badged Jaguar would have made sense. Is there another shot showing the number plate? |

I've only just noticed your comment. I think the TWR connection should be noted but not as part of the name. This car was just a test bed and may have been modified many times subsequently. I'm trying to find out what happened to it since then but without luck so far. |

It is simply a 2000 XK8. This could run from 2000-2004 due to any other differences between model years not being visible. |

It can't be 2000 as this episode was filmed in 1996. So it would have been a brand new XK8. |
