They vary from 1966 to 1969. After the first few episodes the number plate changes to DHV 938D and stays like this for the rest of the show. The van has just sold at auction for £44,000 a LOT more than an ordinary Regal. |

I've now watched this entire series, after buying the whole collection on DVD. Brilliant stuff. As for the Regal, despite using so many they're pretty good about continuity. The primer spots seem to change around a bit, and the one used in roughly the first two series was red inside the doors. |

They used a blue one of these in the Mr. Bean tv show, as well. They're cool looking. |

An original Only Fools Regal was on display at the Cars of the Stars Museum in Keswick, Cumbria, until its sad closure in July 2011. Upon closure, most of the cars went to the Dezer Collection in Florida. The only vehicle the museum's owner, Peter Nelson, retained was Del Boy's Reliant. |

Thanks for the detailed info on the ones used. With it in mind I don't think it should be listed as 1966 because that's just from the fake plate used on all the vans after a certain point. 1969 is a better year to put (year of the oldest van and it's probably that one in the main image being as APL911H was the original van and the picture is from the intro). |

DHV 938D was a genuine plate, London Sept-Dec 1966 but no trace now, and makes no sense for a Regal Supervan III, launched Aug 68. |

I believe one van was written off when Rodney drove over a hump back bridge at high speed in the 1988 Christmas Special. For a stunt like that I assume it was specially prepared replica. |
