I always thought that as well but both NADA and Kelly's Blue Book list the Z-71 Offroad package as being available on 2000 Tahoes. The brochure also lists the Z-71 Offroad package as available in 2000. |

Remember, Z71 is also considered its own "trim level" by Chevrolet since the 1999 calendar year when the legacy 2000 Chevrolet Tahoe Z71 and 2000 Chevrolet Tahoe Limited made their first appearance. I've never seen or found a 2000 Tahoe Z71 of this body style. tonka, perhaps the Z71 reference in the brochure was for the legacy model? I could be wrong of course. I've just never seen a 2000 Z71 and seem to remember reading a source giving 2001 as the first model year for the then-new generation Tahoe. |

If your link is correct, it appears as though the Z71 Tahoes were updated for the 2001 model year to look more unique with their own wheels, roof racks, etc. |
