valiant1962 ◊ 2006-07-13 01:39	I don't think this is a GT. On the Australian market these were designated 220, 240 (both two doors), 440 (four door), and GT. The GTs had bold GT stripes running down the sides (I had one). This would be a 440.

Agreed but only after April 69 when Ford Aus decided to create their version of the 1600E as remixed GT with "Superoo" warpaint to create a baby Falcon GT HO lookalike. Ford NZ did a more normal version for their 1600E, but called it 1600 GTE.
