Some guests on our site claimed that it was "21" (only) since 1962, but I believe http://denisovets.narod.ru is enough reliable source to change this finally and rename all 1962-1963 (in our realities 1962-1965 as 1966 is easy to distinguish by extra chromes in SU) to GAZ M-21 (so call them same like the older ones).

No idea if they sold any or the code information is useful elsewhere, but the sequence is: Oct 59 M21K saloon announced as available in LHD. Oct 61 M21K saloon announced as available in RHD "with central gearchange and deluxe fittings". Oct 61 M22 estate announced as available. May 63 M21K saloon and M22 estate first imports with RHD. Jan 65 M21P saloon and M22P estate introduced "heating improved and ducted to rear. Larger wiper blades. BHP increased to 95. Adjustable front seats. Taper roller bearings for front wheels." Feb 67 imports of saloon and estate discontinued.
