This is a Michigan 275B, not Clark 275B. However, both have the same design and belong to Clark Equipment Co. The "Michigan" nameplate in between the red stop lights on the grille is a trademark for Michigan models only, while the "Clark" nameplate in between the white back-up lamps on the engine hood is a trademark for Clark models only. |

Indeed Clark and Michigan are trademarks of Clark Equipment Co., and they're totally similar except the nameplate, wheel hubs' color, and decals. The very early models of tractor shovels were marketed under the Michigan brand after the purchase of the Michigan Power Shovel Co. Later on, Clark Equipment remarketed its products under the Clark brand only. This similarity in tractor shovels is like Allis-Chalmers and Fiat-Allis. |
