an_unusual_eye ◊ 2011-02-23 17:38	Knight_2000 wrote and that wasn't a Datsun trust me. i'm not sure if i'm understanding what you're trying to say, but the U.S. spec. 280ZX such as this was only ever sold as a Datsun. these were badged in only two ways throughout the 1979-83 S130 production run. the first, for the 1979 model year only, was "DATSUN 280ZX", like this: and the second, for the 1980-83 model years, was "DATSUN 280ZX by NISSAN", like this: datsun either way.

night cub ◊ 2011-04-10 19:02	The 280ZX was not sold as a Nissan in the US. The first Z model to be sold as a Nissan was the 1984 300ZX. It's properly ID'd. This was Rick's car in Season 1. I guess the club became more sucessful and he bought the Mercedes later on. -- Last edit: 2011-04-10 19:12:08

Nissan did not market cars in the United States under the Nissan name until 1982, and then it was as they were switching models over. This is a 1980 model, it is a DATSUN!
