Thomas Startin was also a Birmingham BMC/BL dealers, and I used to collect brochures from their showroom. Talkin' of strange names, what's the Panhard PL17 Grand Standing all about? Grand Moving would suggest somethin' more useful. -- Last edit: 2011-07-20 23:21:06 |

Yes, the Grand Standing thing is the only aspect of the Panhard that I don't like it indeed seems you are more at a stand still (due to a technical breakdown) then driving it And I don't like the pretentiousness of it, in my opninion it shows bad taste when you say you have good taste... (other examples: Citroën CX Prestige, Mercedes-Benz Elegance, Autobianchi A112 Elegant, Ford Focus Chic...) |

... Skoda Superb (but the roots go back to 1930s) .... but my favourite was the Mitsubishi Carisma - their only possible defence under a trade descriptions prosecution, Your Honour, was that they dropped the 'h'. |

Oh dear, it's Slade Really time to Link to "www.youtube.com" ,whatever that means. By the way, when I worked night shifts in a press-shop at a stamping-plant a couple of years back, I often had to work with a guy who looked like an older version of Nobby Holder. Same sideburns, same kind of voice. |

Nowt wrong with a good bit of Slade, though they lost it later. But for anything Mott the Hoople and/or Ian Hunter. |
