What is the diagonal red stripe for? |

I think all commercial vehicles in Italy had to have a red diagonal stripe (or a white one on a red vehicle?). Probably a tax question? |

"...I seem to recall that the use of broad red or white stripes on the front bumper of Italian trucks signified whether the truck belonged to a hire or reward or own-account fleet..." according to Link to "www.roadtransport.com" |
