US plate mounting underneath?? Plate says 1973 which could be date (see also the red Elan with a 1965 plate). Looks LHD - made for US and visiting for the retro rally/tour??? |

73 date seems possible from the extra views, but some trim updating seems to have happened (eg later alloys). Not tinted glass, so earlier than 76; chrome sills suggest pre-Feb 73 and body colour rear panel ditto (it does not look black but....). Instruments also revised in Feb 73, but I can't identify before or after here. So probably an early 1973 model, mainly from the plates but other details seem to fit OK. |
