Yes, but the wagon only came in 1950. |

Good point. Wikipedia says 1950, which might mean 1951 my; but IMHO it might not, as at that time British manufacturers didn't necessarily wait for the Earl's Court Motor Show to introduce new versions of existing models (as they mostly went for export anyway). Still, if you insist I'll accept 1951. |

Details I've got are: May 48 (Phase 1) saloon launched Oct 48 (Phase 1) estate launched Oct 51 redesigned grille on saloon, push button door handles Nov 51 ditto on estate Jan 53 Phase 2 saloon, extended front grille and rear wings Feb 53 Phase 2 estate, front as phase 2 saloon Mar 53 2 door estate introduced in Phase 2 range (discontinued Aug 54). So Oct 48 onwards Ph 1 estate?? |

@dsl: Where did those details come from? I know Wikipedia isn't 100% reliable, but I'm old enough to think that the wagon came out more than five months after the saloon. |

Glass's Car Check Book 1946-60 - I'd abbreviated the descriptions slightly (eg omitted Sept 49 enclosed rear wheels). Dates are usually accurate for UK availability unless mentioned (eg if a model was launched for export ahead of UK introduction). |
