 Because "Mini" isn't always an Austin if I remember.

The first Mini is named, in reality, "BMC 850" no ? After, it's Austin OR Morris "Mini"

For me, it's "Morris" front mark and grill

 Definitely an Austin.

In addition to the badge the grill is the normal wavy Austin version with additional vertical bars. I remember these being used on some very early cars but then discontinued.

Austin Super Seven as this advert. Only made from 1961-62 they had all the trim of a Mini-Cooper with the standard Mini engine and gearbox.

Handlebar bumpers mean Super Mini (Jan-Oct 62) instead of Super Seven (June-Dec 61), and it's a 1963 plate. But being France, it could be Super 850??
