this is missing the front fender trim that would be part of the LeMans series for 1966. the rear fender emblem seems to say GTO, which was an emancipated series beginning in 1966... but for certain many of the GTO accents and features are lacking. possibly a Tempest dressed up to look like a GTO..? |

Possible use of two cars, front end is a 66 Lemans (fender ornaments and flat hood), side shot looks like a 1967 GTO, see rocker moulding and the way the back quarters are angled, also hood, back shot is also a 1967 GTO per the tail lights and deck lid trim. -- Last edit: 2011-01-10 18:30:46 |

indeed... and the front fender trim IS in the main capture. i totally missed that, as i was using the better lit thumbnails when i was trying to sort it out. the main capture is a lemans, and the car in the thumbnails certainly does appear to be a GTO. |

Watching the movie right now...the front shot when they arrive at the carnival (first thumbnail) shows a GTO emblem in the grille. Clearly two cars. |

This should be split. Main image shows a 1966 LeMans and the thumbnails show a 1967 GTO. |
