We must have a similar one somewhere but where? |

Ummm.... Don't think so. Hood seems too short and grill shell doesn't look right. |

Had another look at this one. I notice it has fender mounted side lights and it has disc wheels. That limits it down to 1929-31 Cadillac or LaSalle (disc wheels were an option on these), maybe 1931 Lincoln, or 1931 Nash and maybe a few odd others. The body styling is too conservative to be most of those. Something similar (but certainly different) here - /vehicle_69232-Cadillac-Ambulance-1926.html . The flow of the front fenders matches the 1929 Cadillac, also the fact that we can't see any hood louvres. On the 1929 Cadillac there were hood louvres only on the rearward half of the hood sides. I think this might have an earlier body on it. The side-mounted spares are mounted higher than would normally be seen on a '29 Cadillac, suggesting the door is further forward than normal. -- Last edit: 2011-01-06 09:53:57 |

Had another check on this. The body is definitely 1927 - from the styling of the swages and hinges. I think it is a 1927 Cadillac ambulance - with body built by Meteor - which had been updated with 1929-1931 front fenders. -- Last edit: 2011-01-06 10:29:18 |

You are right. It looks very similar to the one in 'Crashing Through Danger'. Good work! |
