That's another stupid thing to do to a W140. It ruined the damn paintjob! -- Last edit: 2006-06-27 21:50:35 |

It could be washable paint like the stuff they used on the Bluesmobile. |

It's a good thing you don't share the same affinity to Ford Crown Victorias. |

If you have to paint something on a Mercedes, do you take a brand new one from the dealership or a two-years old one that looks identical and is cheaper? (maybe even sold by the same dealership as second-hand car). |

It was probably wash-off paint anyway. |

BLUES BROTHERS BAND. There's the Blues Brothers (originally Jake and Elwood, in this film it becomes Elwood, "Mighty" Mack, Buster and later Cabel), and the Blues Brothers Band, who play the instruments. |

Crown Vic is definitely more beautiful than this Mercedes!!!! |

IMO this definitely is the ugliest colour that a car can EVER have and there are just too much of silver/grey cars so that this black paintjob just makes it look MUCH better. I'd rather own a pink or an orange or even a purple car than a dull silver one. I saw one day an pink Avensis and I must say it looked good although it is kind of girlish colour -- Last edit: 2010-06-27 19:09:34 |

1997 or 1998 model, 1997 was the first model year for revised tail lamps (second time around as the first revision was for the 1995 model year) Door mounted side impact air bags for driver and first passenger were also introduced for the 1997 model year. Not very effective in side impacts due to the design, but it was better than nothing, and certainly a step in the right direction. Mercedes has since followed other auto manufacturers and abandoned door mounted air bags for seat side mounted air bags. |

V140 as this is a LWB model. Note the rear window size. |
