It looks like 1971 AMC Hornet SC 360 ( Link to "blog.cardomain.com" ), but on fender it has inscription 'American' instead 'Hornet'. Some mexican version?

Since this movie was filmed in Mexico, I believe these were called VAM Rambler American like this one: /vehicle_289380-VAM-Rambler-American-1970.html

Ive looked on Google maps "street views" or hours at a few Mexican locations and am dissapointed that I hae not found a single VAM car captured. Ive seen a fair number of AMC's in US views. Are there any VAM cars left in Mexico these days? In the US, there is still a decent supply of the American version (the Hornet) still floating around.

The easiest way to find surviving VAMs would be to look for fan websites or owner's clubs. :)
