I'd say mid/late 50's Cadillac De Ville hearse or a early 60's Pontiac Catalina funeral coach. |

1960 Cadillac, I'll leave the body company ID up to mrcadillac or Junkman |

It is most likely a Beau Monde Limousine-Style Combination with coach work by Superior. |

It's a 3-way funeral coach by Eureka, of Rock Falls, IL, on the 1960 Cadillac commercial chassis. The company went out of business in 1964 when demand dropped in favor of the other Big Three: Superior Coach Corporation (Lima, OH), Miller-Meteor (Piqua, OH) and Hess & Eisenhardt, builders of the S&S line of professional cars (Cincinnati, OH). |

Just for the records: Eureka ceased production in 1964 because of their limited flexibility. In marked contrast to the big three, Eureka was still performing traditional coachbuilding, e. g. using wooden frames for their bodies. They turned out brilliant and highly respected coaches, but these were expensive, so Eureka couldn´t compete with the others who offered economy-priced all-steel bodies. When Cadillac announced the completely new commercial chassis for 1965, Eureka couldn´t afford a full set of new toolings and closed it´s doors at the end of the 1964 model year after 93 years. All toolings and spare parts were sold along with the customer stock to Superior. Since then, the Eureka name has been revived twice and is still a brand of Accubuilt Inc. |
