MattR ◊ 2012-05-24 01:55	I just purchased this vehicle last fall. It is in the process of being restored. It is a 1967 land rover 109 series 2a station wagon with the dormobile option on the interior. I hope to have it done in the next year.

MattR ◊ 2013-05-21 21:52	Still a long ways to go, but almost have all the parts now. The original motor was gone even in the movie, so I am rebuilding a more modern 300 TDI engine for it, so it will get good MPG.

MattR ◊ 2014-09-11 23:12	just got all the disc brake kit, and A/C parts from a new Defender to retrofit into it. It will be done so none of the new style parts will show.

MattR ◊ 2014-12-22 20:35	Engine rebuild on 300tdi almost complete. ZF automatic overdrive transmission is done and adapted to transfer case, next will be fabrication of engine and transmission mounts.
