Same car used in another "Louis de Funès" movie called "Fantomas"! The BMW is extensively used and has the same colour, and the same white wall tyres... Could it be random to see such a rare car in 2 different movies with exactly the same caracteristics? This one has a hard top however. Nice car, but I HATE that disgusting big white "very German Mercedes-like" steering wheel! It looks like a beautiful Italian Classic design, but the Germans added a lot of heavy trim and ugly accessories! |

It's simply 507. The rest should be removed. |

My favourite comedian, one I met in France, by chance, in the late 70{s, but that was before I saw "Fantomas" or "Le corniaud" otherwise I would have asked him how he felt about driving this extraodinary vehicle. Instead I spent my time at a Paris airport talking about "The Misadventures of Rabbi Jacob". I think he would have been surprised to know that, three decades after he died, a normal BMW 507 started to sells for in between US$1.25 and US$1.5 million. That is, one without any procedebce.... |
