Yes it seems to be fake, but the year in Algerian license plates does not represent the year of built, it is all about the first date of it circulation, in French (date de premiere mise en circluation). Take this for example, in the early 2000's (2001 i think) there was a quantity of brand new Volkswagen cars imported from somewhere (Germany i guess), these cars were never sold and they stayed for a longtime at the port of Mostaganem (west Algeria), until the few recent years (since 2012 but i'm not so sure) their case got solved, and finally they started their life, all of them were registered on the years of their first circulation which is absolutely not related with their generation, and here is a few good examples: Pictures source: Facebook / Ouedkniss. -- Last edit: 2016-04-04 17:33:17 |
