In the entry for the Studebaker 6x4 in The Dirty Dozen, Alexander says "almost all trucks of that kind were sent to Russia as part of the lend-lease programme", so using one as a Soviet army truck would appear to be historically accurate. Perhaps the one used in the film was given by the USSR to the Polish army after the war. -- Last edit: 2006-05-28 12:26:41 |

I did not knew that.. Then it is OK, since it was outside the prisoner camp guarded by Soviets. |

This one is a 6x6 version of the Studebaker 2½-ton Cargo Truck -- note the front differential. The production of this version, too, went almost completely to the Soviet Union. -- Last edit: 2006-05-28 15:37:02 |

Or was used by Polish soldiers during the war - as a member of 'anti nazi' coalition we had an US military vehicles, the most popular were 'Jeeps' I guess. -- Last edit: 2007-03-25 14:26:48 |
