It's either a Pontiac J2000, 2000, 2000 Sunbird, or just a Sunbird. I'd guess it's an '85 Sunbird, based on the assumption that most of the background cars were brand new at the time, but I have nothing more.

In 1984 it was named the 2000 Sunbird and in 1985 it was just Sunbird.

I'm guessing 1985 Sunbird based on Hecubus's theory.

I'm with hiergehts. I'm postive it is either an '82 or '83. It has the front fascia that only 82's and 83's had. (ie: more angular lower section with full width black lower grille. 84-86 (and some 87's) had the more rounded one where the lower lights are seperated from the lower grille.

Therefore, it's indeed a J2000/2000.

440 Mopar is correct.

The 1984 was the start of a more rounded lower front facia. When I had my 1984 Sunbird, I was looking for a front facia lik eth eone pictured above, since I thought it looked more aggresive.
