Sixteen is more likely as the production was 36,000 against only 6,000 Twelve, which had an ancient design side valve engine against the sixteen's modern OHV unit. 1947 Austin Twelve or Sixteen. Sixteen is more likely as the production was 36,000 against only 6,000 Twelve, which had an ancient design side valve engine against the sixteen's modern OHV unit.

Registration number series started in April 1947 in London.
