made for RA |

Maybe Built in Venezuela, as said in Wikipedia? |

And, why "made for RA"? |

And why not? see the tailights, its the same for Europe. Here we do not accept cars with American standards, only Europe. And they never made cars from Venezuela, this came directly from USA |

But this one has not the european specifications. Without rear foglamps. Necessary in Europe like this one: /vehicle.php?id=43658 And it has also the amber front position lights. (Illegal in Europe) So it has US Spec. |

Impossible, I said, and do not repeat again, that there is nothing this pick-up American. It is made in USA, for the countries of Mercosur, in this case, Argentina. And the tail lights are not the same as for the United States. But what's regulations, ADEFA (The body that brings together manufacturers) does change to the vast majority of cars sold here. I removed the airbag (in many cases), often come with different engines, the equipment is less than the height of the vehicle is modified. And many other things, that require him to sell it. And Adefa only allowed to sell cars with "European specifications" from the 1980's, because, other than Ford, Chrysler and GM had withdrawn the market and made an arrangement with the other terminals (except, obviously, Ford, all of them European.) -- Last edit: 2010-11-03 16:59:57 |

Let's see... I'm not interested in contradict you. I only say what I see. I will compare two Explorer. The fist one with US specifications and the second one with EU specifications: 1st. US: Amber front position lights /vehicle_100531-Ford-Explorer-1995.html (As seen on the aditional picture I've add for this car) Without rear foglamps /vehicle_323120-Ford-Explorer-1999.html (Like this one) 2nd. EU: White front lights /vehicle.php?id=66441 (Aditional picture: http://img93.imageshack.us/i/snap0568tl7.jpg/) With rear foglamps /vehicle_5535-Ford-Explorer-1999.html -- Last edit: 2010-11-03 17:23:21 |

If only the lights, it's possible. But what I'm getting is that to approve a car here, you must have (not just the lights) with current European standards. Even, I can give the example of the Chevrolet Camaro. Not sold here and is the only country in South America where it is sold, and who argue that is not approved for Europe, says Adefa. And what I meant, is all this that I put in my comment. See in this link the example for the Camaro: Link to "autoblog.com.ar" |

1999-2001 model, as indicated by the updated front bumper (seen in the thumbnail capture) and the updated quarter panel trim, which included additional lower liftgate trim not found on the 1998 model rear update. The tail lamps are standard U.S. specification. Reflective red, with upper amber and lower clear lenses. The upper amber lenses are the turning indicator lamp, the center reflective red lenses are the park/running/brake lamps (they are illuminated in the main capture) and the lower clear lenses are the reverse lamps. The third brake lamp is mounted atop the liftgate glass and consists of several light emitting diodes (LED). |
