It looks precisely like Spirou et Fantasio's car.

O.T. : Why don't we make also a ICCDB (Internet Comics Cars Database)? If we have a site of cars from movies and one from games, how about that one?

Sixcyl thank you again :king: I need the soundtrack :D

The real registration is 8699 WWA 75, so the car was brand new and 75 refers to Honda rue d'Aubervilliers in 19th arrondissement before moving to Bagnolet in the end of 1967. I had a white convertible 10 years from january 1967. It could be it!

Just collect the comic of the "Belgian School". There are cars always drawed carefully and authentic. A propos Spirou et Fantasio: I've read, that in every issue of his series, Franquin has positioned his own cars somewhere.

For my own curiosity, were the S600/S700/S800 in the USA? because I saw one recently (honest to God), and I was just wondering if that was some kind of US version? of a privet import?

Personally, my favorite of their cars was the Lotus Europa in 'Cider for the Stars': https://www.bedetheque.com/media/Planches/PlancheA_2780.jpg

The Europa is a nice car in itself, however I think the model's inclusion in that specific album was a deliberate choice Fournier-style that drew heavily on the alien/flying saucer-theme (similar to the DeLorean in BTTF). To me, the R5 is the most fitting model for them, as they're not rich, they're everyday people living ordinary lives outside their adventures. I also like the Turbot 1 and 2 because they were given to them and give that unique character and magic felt in the early albums. The Europa is neither a practical or realistic choice, however it fits the setting of that album alone (not among my favourites, to be honest).
