Si c'est une GL, c'est pas une Ghia. |

Actually, it seems that this version of the Granada was also a 2.3 GL ( as it's badged ) with the particularity of being named Ranchera. This list of Granada versions available in Spain doesn't mention the alleged Ghia GL version. http://www.mercedesw123club.com/rivalesdelw123/ |

According to archived comments (see link above first comment) "Ghia" was used to indicate wagon version, not as a trim level. I do not know if it is right or not, though. |

I didn't notice those archived comments. But if Ghia indicated a wagon version in the spanish market spec, why did they not feature Ghia badges ? |

I've tried to, but I couldn't find any reference to the term "Ghia" used instead of "Estate" or "Turnier". Nevertheless, the term Ford used in Spain ( at least ) to the wagon version was "Ranchera" - as can be seen on the link. The one indicated by carchasefanatic seems to have a fake reg. based on a Portuguese numberplate. As far as I know, the Granada MkII wagon was never oficially sold in Portugal ( with this specific alloys and the roof rack it's a Ghia version ) but it fits in one of the versions available in Spain according to the link: Granada Ranchera 2.8i Ghia. |
