What's the car in the lower right corner? A Sunbeam Avenger ?

Naah, rather a 1968+ 4-door Opel Kadett LS (the Coupé).

Not an Avenger - though I see the resemblance - as it was not launched until 1970. Cortina is probably an early Consul Cortina deluxe in that depressing grey, but can not confirm.

I'm still thinking of a fourdoor LS:

Indeed a rare car. I had to look while before I've found a photo.

You don't believe it for such a mass-produced car, but there was indeed one engine-trim line-combinaion of the Kadett B LS, of which only three(!) single cars were produced. I know this from a *cough* indeed nerdic ;) guy, who owns one. He had hunted for that car over many years - because his grandfather had one of these three. It was wrecked in 1977. The second one disappeared sometimes in the 70ies, but the third he had found in Italy. After a long-lasting discussion he could buy it for restoration. He told me, that the whole 1500 km on the way back home he was crying for happiness...

Was the 4 door coupe body also used for the Olympia? I think most Olympias had vinyl roofs but possibly not all? Or - like the Avenger - is the Olympia too late for 1968?

Made two other screenshots. A better view was not possible:

I'm quite sure, that it's a 4-door Kadett B LS.

Yes agree, Kadett B

The thumbs are helpful for the Cortina, because I can not see a boot badge (I can however imagine ingo laughing his socks off). 1965+ m.y. Cortinas had a big badge on the right which should be visible here. Consul Cortinas had a thinner central badge, which probably would not be visible against a grey colour. Therefore we have a 1963 Consul Cortina, probably standard or deluxe in such a drab colour and with no chrome trim.

It is of course impossible under every known law and humanitarian convention for a Mk1 Cortina to ever exist without a boot badge, unless it is a Lotus until mid-1965 which this is definitely not.

Imdcb has a few Olympias without vinyl roofs (eg /vehicle_265782-Opel-Olympia-1967.html - 4 door, Italian registered) and 1968 date seems to fit.
