Can't tell if it's 1946 [CADILLAC name in "BLOCK LETTERS"] or 1947 ["Cadillac" name in "script"], since it is hidden by that fence post. But it's definitely a "Series 62", because of the extra chrome along the lower body. The official catalog designation in 1946 was simply the "coupe", and in 1947 the "club coupe". Most enthusiasts today refer to it the "Sedanet" or "Sedanette", or even "fast-back coupe". The '46 had a black rubber stone guard on the leading edge of the rear fenders, whereas in 1947 it was chrome-plated. It looks like this one possibly has the rubber guard, so it would a '46 model. |
