There is NOT a VW cabriolet in this film it is a tin-top. |

What's a tin-top? A normal roof? |

Yep! ;-) Because there are VW Rabbit/Golf cabriolets people (such as myself!) call the "normal roof" a tin-top!! :-) I will take a pic of the Rabbit in this film to add on. |

I think this is a Mexican made Volkswagen Caribe which do not have rear side marker lamps like US versions : http://articulo.mercadolibre.com.mx/jm/img?s=MLM&f=12748117_5927.jpg |

Is a 1981 model, and is a Volkswagen Caribe, so that shows that this movie was filmed in Mexico |

The Caribe and other VW's are made in Mexico so shouldn't the country of origin here be "Mexico" and not Germany? -- Last edit: 2006-11-03 00:39:09 |

Depends on what means "origin". It is a German car. Even if it was made in Mexico it is still a German-designed car, just built somewhere else. Mexico is set in "made for" field to explain why the name is different. |

Any view of the rear? 1981 should have a Caribe badge, 1982-86 I二 FI R I I三 E badge (sometime I amaze myself) without box. |
