Ford badge on the grill with Ford lettering on the hood? |

It looks like a 1979-82 Econoline with a replacement 1983-91 grille. |

Or it could be the other way around too. |

It IS the other way around, because it has amber turn indicators. |

Correct. 1979-1982 models had clear turn indicators, 1983-1991 models had amber ones. |

What, turn signals are unchangeable, now? |

But 1983-1991 models are more common then 1979-1982 models, and it would be a little bit easier to replace the hood then the grille AND the turn signals... |

I assume the vehicle was involved in a frontal collision, in which the original grille AND the turn signals were damaged beyond repair. With the spare parts available, they replaced the damaged bits with newer parts. As you can see, the hood is already dented, presumably from the same collision that claimed the grille and the turn signals (probably the headlights, too), and I think this hood belonged to the original van. They could've replaced the hood, but didn't care as it's supposed to drive and pass regulations, not look good. As replacing newer parts with older parts is considerably rarer, I'd say it's a 1979-82 with the grille and front lights replaced. |
