2-door 'tintop' limits this to 1989-1990 as the 2 door hardtop was discontinued when the four door was introduced in North America. Could be any trim other than JA from this angle (JX, JS, JLX) |

JLX was the high end trim level? |

yes JLX was the highest trim level in the US. The JLX was only available on the SWB for the 1989-1990 model years, starting in 1991 it was only available on the LWB model (1991 was the first year for the LWB) JLX included power windows and door locks (hardtops only), the interior was also much better appointed on the JLX models, the door panels and interior trim was better quality and covered more of the sheetmetal (lower trim levels had very sparse trim and didn't cover all the sheet metal) The JLX also had better 'Euro' seats with the SWB getting rear bucket seats instead of the rear bench in other trims. JLX models also came with auto- Locking front hubs instead of the manual ones. |
