A Russian or Romanian Jeep with a faked US-Jeep-front? -- Last edit: 2010-08-14 23:52:51 |

Or a customised IFA? I think the film was shot in the DDR. |

Probably not in the DDR, there were no double-tone painted curbstones: /vehicle_326323-Plymouth-Savoy-1955.html And the architecture doesn't look German, not even from the former Ostpreußen or Westpreußen. Rather Baltic. -- Last edit: 2010-08-15 00:18:02 |

Kerbs here in the UK used to be painted a bit like that, so perhaps it was done for the film. |

Very unlikely, that the makers have looked on such details. And the paint is not new. |

Here is the car: http://eag.vanatehnika.ee/a-am/FordGPWvWillysMB_teine.jpg So either Willys or Ford. Any 4x4 experts? -- Last edit: 2011-07-05 11:23:55 |

So, this is clearly GAZ 69A, but with the front (including, as it is not strange, the front axle) from the Jeep/Ford GPW. |

The link was already posted above by Adrian_pt. Looks to be the same car indeed. |
