That is as tacky as tacky gets. |

Probably the ugliest custom car ever made after Les Dunham creations. |

(1)I've never seen a Corvette go to the Crusher?? All I've seen that were wrecked/junked got parted out to seemingly nothing almost overnight, you never see one in a regular salvage yard(usually a specialty type yard)plus they crush cars to recycle -the metal-.(and a 'Vette is 'Glass) (2) This car is VERY "1978" (as in style...or lack of it!!!)IIRC,I read this..thing..was based on a 1973 model? |

That has to be one of the dumbest ways of spending the thick end of forty grand that I can think of ... |

"i wonder what ever happen to it or who owns it now. my barbie had a corvette stingray and i'm buying a black one soon." There were 2 built. One ended up in Australia, the other in in a collection in the USA. Anyone notice the 'Corvette' badge that falls on Mark Hamill at the start of the movie? It's not even off that year car. |

I saw this car at the Oakland Car show after the movie came out and it was really sad. It was after the end of the movie where they tore the car all up. It's fiberglass was all broken up and there were chunks missing and it still had a ton of dirt on it. Don't know why they had it on tour. |

Looking at this creature now, I can't understand, how could I like this film when I saw it some 15 years ago. I'd take Datsun 240 instead |

I am trying to build a near-replica of this car at my college for exibition purpose. I am using a worn out 1975 Corvette T-Roof for it, and I have friends helping out, but when I saw this movie, I knew that I would have to use as influence for customization |

Corvettes should never have flames. |

I saw this movie when I was 5 years old. I never forgot that car. Still the most awesome corvette ever built. Some of you people might associate gaudiness and trends with something bad. You are probably about the same kind of people who automatically think something older than "last year" is outdated. Narrowminded you are. This car is still being traded around and goes for about 100 grand. It just sold very recently. I would pay that for the car considering it still has bits of sand from the desert scene in the movie finding its way out of the frame occasionally. How awesome is that! |

I love the car, but the flames are awful, too bad they couldnt find someone who knew how to paint flames |

Tackiest Corvette ever...and that's saying something! |

Um, rescued? |

I've seen Corvettes in wrecking yards fairly regularly, but you usually have to go to the larger yards. They're also usually so banged up, the only thing worth saving is the little odds and ends. All the pieces worth anything are what always gets damaged (hoods on C4 and C5 cars, suspension pieces, axles) |

Lose the rear wheel arches, the asymmetrical hood bulge, the pointed nose, the side-exit pipes, and THEN you might have something. Oh, wait - then it'll be just a Corvette with a huge Stingray taillight panel. I'm quite shocked at how sloppy they did those rear wheel arches though - it looks as if someone formed them out of sheet ABS plastic. -Kurt |

I saw the Australian one in a car yard on Parramatta Rd Parramatta in the 80's couldnt beleive my eyes but yes it was the same one, how much it was i dont remember how much they had on it though |

The worst painted flames I've ever seen. |
◊ 2020-07-14 02:06 |
Is it bad that I unironically like this car? |

Love it or hate it I think it's right to have the customizer there in the description. I was sure it was a George Barris as I was watching this but not this time! |
