1973 or later, unless if someone can decode the blurred plate number... Could this be British made camper version? |

Quite sure, unless I cannot identify the maker of the openable roof. It's no Westfalia. A bit strange, that it has only one big side window. This was rather unusual. The Bus-versions, on which the most Camper-conversions are based, have windows all around. Maybe it's Transporter-version, in which someone has cutted a window later on for making his own Camper. Not uncommon, as there was a plenty of Camper-kits for selfmakers on the market. Otherwise: there were uncountable many different versions to order at VW on special request. Maybe this Camper-manufacturer did so. For myself I can remember such "half-windowed" T2 and T3 only from the Dutch Army. |
