This means nothing. To use vegetable oil is possible for the majority of Diesel-cars, especially the older, not high-tech eingines, without changing anything at the engine. I'm hesitating with my Omega, because it has an Eberspächer extra-heating, which doesn't like vegetable oil. A guy in my NSU-club has an arrangement with all döner-kebab-, pommes frites- and bratwurst-shops in his area. He takes all the old frying-oil, filters it and fills it into his 600.000 km-Citroen BX TRD and is happy with that. Maybe not the nicest imagination for animal-lovers, but it's also possible to use animal fat for Diesel-engines. So all the trucks and ground conveyors of this big company: http://www.rethmann-gruppe.de/index.php?id=4497&L=1 are running with animal-based fuel. They are conducting the biggest knackery in the Ruhr-Area. So put the tiger in the tank! Or the guinea pig, the puppy, the kitten... -- Last edit: 2010-08-01 17:18:38 |
