Grille used from 1985-1987 and I would assume that this is a C-Series? |

That grille was also used on 1988 models. In the thumbnail, it appears to have some lift in my opinion, indicating a K-Series. Also, I believe that with those hubcaps it would be a 3/4-ton truck (2500). I'm not 100% sure of these things, though. However, I am certain that it is equipped with the lowly Sierra trim. |

yes to the hubcaps being specific to the 8 lug wheels... so 2500. ~ can't help with the C vs. K. question. it seems like it could be either based on ride height, and i can't make out whether the front cap in the thumbnail has a protruding hub..? |

While it is true that this grille was used on 1988 Crew Cab pick-ups this is not a Crew Cab which is why I said 1985-87 |

I was speaking more in general terms. I should have been more specific and for that I apologize. So should we label it as a "C/K-2500?" I'm sticking with it being a K-Series truck, but I'm waiting to see what others have to say. |

Ah it is me who should have been more specific looking at the thumbnail I agree with you that it is a K-2500 -- Last edit: 2010-08-01 07:04:55 |

The first thumbnail shows the front offset differential, indicating a front live axle. So it is indeed four-wheel drive. Whether it its part time shift-on-the-move four-wheel drive or part time conventional four-wheel drive, I don’t know; probably the latter. |
