Also note the dual exhaust cutouts in the rear bumper. Dual exhausts were standard in '56 for all V8 models. The Sunliner V8 was listed for $2459, just $100 more than the six-cylinder model. (that's like $860 today. Money well spent) -- Last edit: 2014-03-10 05:36:07 |

Great photo, Hipo. Note how the Goodyear Tire signs are masked off along with "California" lettering on the plates. This car was also used in episode 1.30. The plot involves 2 identical "gray convertibles." But they forgot to switch plates, so when the innocent man is arrested, he's driving the wrong car. (see below) ![]() Innocent man picks up hitchhiker who had just robbed payroll (note plates). ![]() When the car is stopped a short while later, it bears the plates of the actual getaway car.
