Few others, same model? |

Yes, it appears to be the same one. |

Do they sell those in Germany? |

No, not officially... The only US-Chevrolet sold over here is the Corvette, it´s sold through Opel-dealers, which sometimes have a small Cadillac/Corvette/Hummer-section. |

The Chevy and BMW are the only cars with correct Frankfurt plates - marvellous job guys... |

No. The plate are clearly fakes. And the combination doesn't fit. They are pre-January 2007-combinations for authorities - but 8... was for the civil protection and the THW and 5... was nearly never issued anywhere. If they should be diplomatic, resp. consular plates (there's an US-consulate in Frankfurt), they should start with 9... possible, that they were made by this plate "specialist": https://www.customeuropeanplates.com/european-plates-c-1.html -- Last edit: 2016-01-06 21:28:45 |

"Marvellous job" was ironic (hence the ...) |

The plates used for filming had the FF prefix (Frankfurt/Oder). The first F was then digitally erased. See the behind the scenes photos on the main page. |

Even better - digitally erase a letter from the plates about 3/4ths into the movie... |

Which makes it much worse. In this DDR-shithole at the arse end of nowhere there is neither any consulate, no anyone, who would drive a Suburban or a similar US-tanker. |

Calm down, ingo. Probably someone who'd never heard of the other Frankfurt looked at a code list and picked the wrong one. |
