From 1949-54 it had the name 'DKW F89L' (with a 20, later 22 hp, 688 cc, two cylinder, two-stroke engine), 1954-55 it was called 'DKW Typ 30 Schnellaster' (30 hp, 792 cc, two cylinder, two-stroke engine), and finally 1955-62 'DKW Schnellaster 3=6' (32 hp, 896 cc, three cylinder, two-stroke engine). This it the version called 'Großraumpritsche', meaning large size pick-up. http://www.dkw-schnellaster.de/gif_jpg/pr2_bild5.jpg |

I cannot tell. We could use the name of the first version: 'DKW F89L' (1949). |

IMOSA (Industrias del Motor S.A.) in Spain license built DKW vans from 1960 to 1975. The car in this picture was called "DKW Schnell-Laster 3=6". It was produced from 1960 to 1963 and had a 40hp 0,9L engine (more powerful than the DKW's built in Germany). Around 3900 cars of this type were made. In 1963 the Spanish factory developed a successor model; F 1000L but it was mainly sold in Spain. |
