It's a mid-80s Crown Vic. |

Ford LTD Crown Victoria, 1983-87 |

I'd say '79-'82 because of the hubcaps and taillights. |

1987 Ford LTD Crown Vic. Note the LTD Crown Victoria badge on the 'C' pillar |

But the taillights are from a pre-'83 model. It also lacks the third brake light required on cars built from '86 up. |

Yeah, now I see what you mean. |

This would have been simply "LTD" at the time, no Crown Victoria |

This actually is a 1983-1987 LTD Crown Victoria as indicated by the badging. |

Is it just me or are those Chevy caps? /vehicle_27762-Chevrolet-Impala-1978.html |

Remarkably similar, yes, with the link you posted, however the driver's door is different. The door lock to door handle position is not the same also the belt-line is straight in the movie taxi but the Chevrolet is curved at the A pillar. |

I know the car is a ford, I'm saying the hubcaps look as if there off of a Chevy. |

Silver Datsun/Nissan in thumbnail. Pulsar from early to mid '80s? |

Looks like a Chevy "bow-tie" stpaulcarguy. |

Note tag on fender behind front wheel. That was gone by 1985. This is an '83 or '84 per taillamps. |

What's the difference with the 85-87 tail-lights? |
