The chassis code for the coupé is actually C123. I also think that there were only 2 versions of the coupé in the US: 280CE and 300CD, so there's a 50% chance of guessing the correct model name ![]() -- Last edit: 2010-06-05 23:46:52 |

It's more likely to be a 300CD. They were more common than the 280CE, and were sold the entire run, while Mercedes stopped selling the 280CE after a few years. |

agreed... far more likely to be a 300CD, especially based on the yellow inboard lights that were hitting the market as the gas powered coupes began to fade out. 1980+ 300CD is a safe bet i think. [C123] |
